Professional Employer Organizations (PEO's)

The concept of a PEO is pretty straight forward, however getting it started can be a maze of paperwork and confusion. Information needs to be gathered about your workers compensation, employee benefit package including your 401(k), how your payroll is handled, and some basic information about your human resources procedures.

The basic services provided by a PEO are as follows:

A PEO gives small employers access to big company benefits, including HMO's, PPO's, dental plans, flexible spending plans and savings plan administration. Because small business owners will receive the benefit of relief from administrative hassles, the PEO industry is poised for rapid growth in the next few years. There are about 2.5 million employees in PEO's and over the next five to ten years, we could see an excess of 20 million.
